I am inspired many times by my materials. The variety of yarn fibers, colors, textures are just so lovely. I’m also inspired by living my entire life in the northern parts of the US. Experiencing cold winters and hot summers causes one to have a large variety of clothing and accessories.

Handmade items are usually made with more love and care and it is a very special feeling knowing you own something that has had so much personal attention. I also like feeling individual; that exactly the same item simply can’t be bought by millions of others.
In the 6th grade, I learned to crochet for Girl Scouts. We made squares that were later sewn together to create afghans for the homeless. I live with my family in a pine forest by the sea. That is where most of my inspiration comes from. I like the close touch of nature, the colors of autumn and the smell of the sea. A lot of my decorations are influenced by the mysterious Old Norse mythology.
I love every and anything DO IT Yourself. I love to make things, the whole process of learning how to do it, the the trial, the error and of course the very rewarding final product.
Handmade items are so much more meaningful. Most of the high end boutiques I shop at all have hand made items, and those were the items I would always gravitate towards.
