I just love it as a way of self expression as well a sustainable eco-friendly way of living.

What got you started crafting?
I've always loved crafts and especially paper, and at the age of 31, when I was between jobs, I decided to "jump into the water". It's not easy being an independent artist, so you have to learn and get better all the time. It's a very challanging process, but it's also very fullfilling.
What is your source of inspiration?
Let me be specific - everything... (LOL). I feel that mid-century era style is always in my heart when creating.
What have you made recently?
My recent creation is a more ethnic collection of paper coin jewelry, which I'm very excited about!
I engrave the gold/silver paper with a decorative coin and carefully seal and glaze it for protection and a nice glassy look.
Up until now, I’ve created only colorful jewelry- it was cute and whimsical. Now, with the gold/silver paper, my jewelry looks more mature and chic.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell my paper jewelry worldwide on my Etsy shop- efratim.
In Israel, I'm selling at "Bezalel Fair" in Jerusalem on Fridays, in Israeli boutiques (in Jerusalem & Tel-Aviv)
and in accessories markets.
In August 2012 I got accepted for the third time to the biggest anual Israeli arts & crafts festival, callad
"Hutzot Hayotzer" in Jerusalem. I hope to be there again this year (:
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I just love it as a way of self expression as well a sustainable eco-friendly way of living.
