Do what you love! I DO! Be happy. Be kind. Be anything you want to be as long as its makes you smile. (and be sure to Pay it Forward!)
My style changes almost as much as my socks (which never match!)
Sometimes I'll finger paint my suede bracelets so my hands will sparkle
I drink coffee and tea like they are necessary for survival
I'm a city loving girl with an undying wish to own a horse farm in the country with all rescue animals (for now I help them out with part of the profits I make)
What got you started crafting?
I'm much like Alice in Wonderland. My mind creates so much and one day I just needed to put them all into fruition. I've been making things for so long that I can't picture myself not doing it. I love seeing my work and my designs make someone else happy!
What is your source of inspiration?
Honestly, everything! I love to people watch. The way people interact with everything is a big inspiration. Sitting outside the house waiting for deer with my fiance is also an amazing way to clear my mind and in turn think up new things. Even when making stuff, I'll think of others. So many ideas, I need more hands!
What have you made recently?
I just made a bunch of suede bracelets, which I absolutely love. I paint them, I wrap them with wire, I add pearls and stone, etc. They all become such different looks and the perfect way to add to an outfit. I love them. If I don't love it, I wont make it.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
Etsy! I just opened up this shop and LOVE it! I also sell at local craft fairs (long island, NY), word of mouth, jewelry parties, etc. I have also sold in local stores and am looking to branch out.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Buying handmade is such a rewarding experience. Knowing that someone put so much time and effort into making that item, is so great! It's people, not a manufactured brand, that I want to support.
