I was strolling through our local mall and saw this gentlemen scroll sawing.. I started asking questions and became very interested. I bought a cheap scroll saw and the next thing I know I was totally hooked on this craft. Mad more than my share of mistakes, but that’s how I learned and the rest is history as they say.
You’ve probably heard this one a million times before – but it is incredibly satisfying to see someone get enjoyment and/or learn something from something you’ve made by hand. There no other feeling like it.
Source of Inspiration? That’s an easy one…my imagination. There is no way I could ever make all the sets I have pictured in my mind. There’s hundreds of ideas and I come up with new ones all the time, and I hand carved custom themes so my customers call the theme.

It’s wonderful to wake up in the morning and actually want to go to work. It’s an ideal situation, and I’m just ecstatic that I can do this for a living, and be creative again. To anyone who is reading this, if you’re not doing a job you love, start today. It’s totally worth it!
