Being as busy as I am, I don’t have time to free-craft. My free time is spent doing laundry, lol. My love of music has to take a backseat to my family and my business, but it’s not anything I could list here or show you in a picture.
I can’t even wait at the doctor’s office without analyzing the seams and construction of the clothing worn by everyone around me. Everything around me every day made of fabric, or that could be possibly made of fabric, is a constant inspiration.
Today’s featured crafter is a heart attack survivor. She said, as a result of the experience, “It has made me appreciate life more and has inspired me to eat healthier, more carefully and include exercise in my routine. We have both been creative in various forms from the time we were kids…but our collaboration started when James gifted me with another one of his amazing hand-drawn cards. This particular card featured an image of General Tom Thumb (since he knows I LOVE the circus) and I proclaimed “this would make an awesome embroidery”.
I always ask people what inspires them to craft, but today I have to say that Kathryn has inspired me. Reading through your entry, and the way you’ve used crafting through your recovery, is a reminder to us all of how wonderful of an outlet our crafts can be.
