Bright, Colorful, Fun,

in Body Products, Featured Crafters, Handmade, Soap on 03/08/12

My name is Kia Morrison, and I am the owner of Les Produits Geneviève. Les Produits Geneviève is a Montreal based Bath and Body Product Company, which specializes in the making of soaps and lotions. Our products incorporate an array of exotic ingredients and scent that pampers the body and stimulates the senses. All of my products are handcrafted, using some of the finest natural ingredients and essential oils. At Les Produits Geneviève, our goal is to make available luxurious Bath and Body products that feel expensive, but are affordable to everyone. Our products rival, in both quality and cost, similar products that are currently available on the market.

Random Facts About You?

I am a mother of two with a full time job, and a passion for affordable luxury!
I believe that everyone has the right to spoil themselves, without breaking the bank.
Handmade and simple ingredients often make for superior ingredients.
I'm a sucker for cupcakes!

What got you started crafting?

I always felt that there was an affordable and natural way of treating myself and my skin. With a lot of research and, practice and encouragement i launched my handmade bath and body product company!
Some times the simplest ingredients are the best for your skin.

What is your source of inspiration?

My source of inspiration is that extra long caress or hug I receive from my husband. I know that not only to I smell amazing, but that my skin is soft and moisturized.

What have you made recently?

I recently made a rose pomade scented using rose wax and rose essential oils. Not only does it smell simply magnificent, but rose is extremely stimulating for the skin. Mature as well as sensitive skin can benefit from this soft scent. I have to admit that I am hooked historical romances based in London. What is more Victorian then rose? By melting the ingredients together and adding a bit of coconut oil, I was able to create a moisturizing pomade, that smelled heavenly.

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I sell my products online through my website. But my passion are the artisan fairs that I regularly participate in! There's nothing better then speaking to my customers, giving them advice and suggestions, even if it steers them in the way of another product and or company! There is a lot of misinterpreted information out there, and I truly enjoy educating the public on products that may seen scary, but are really not!

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

Everything that I make is researched and well thought out. I like to ask myself the question, why would someone choose this product over one that is fancier, or more expensive form a better known company? I always have the same answer; because my products are good, simple and clean. Why would we as customers pay more for products that are of equal quality, and made up of almost completely of chemicals?
