Elizabeth shares her woolly felt accessories with us as today’s featured crafter! The knitted headband would come in handy for me today – it’s a chilly and foggy May morning in the Northeast. Keep on crafting!!

What got you started crafting?
I've always enjoyed making things, in any shape or form and with any material. My mum taught me to knit a few years ago (although I've only just learned to cast on and off myself!) and I find it very therapeutic. There's only so many woollen headbands I need for myself so I thought I would start selling my items.
What is your source of inspiration?
I started making woollen headbands when I had my hair in a massive bun and very cold ears!
What have you made recently?
I have made a small collection of woollen headbands with hand-stitched felt flowers. More recently I have also started making felt jewellery: pendants, brooches and hair-clips. I display these items of jewellery on greetings cards so they can be given as a small gift for any occasion.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?

Why are handmade crafts important to you?
As an artist I am interested in the therapeutic nature of arts and crafts, and so I like to experiment with different materials and methods of crafting.
As a shopper, I prefer to buy unique items that are one of a kind.
