I always work on more than one project at a time. I just finished making a play mat for a special new baby and am working on quite a few new quilts. It seems that all of my best friends are going to be having their first babies at about the same time, so I’m very busy designing and making their quilts!

1. I can eat A LOT of s'mores.
2. I'm a secret fabric hoarder. I open my closet doors, veerrryyy carefully!
3. I love my day job.
4. I'm bad at washing dishes.
What got you started crafting?
I come from a long line of crafters and handworkers, and grew up in rural Virginia. If I wasn't reading, I often filled my time (and there was a lot of time to fill!) with making things. I always had a shelf displaying my latest craft projects. I was the goth kid in high school who worked on her cross-stitch sampler during lunch and gave hand-made Christmas presents. I made my first quilt when I was about 20 and have been making them ever since!
What is your source of inspiration?
I adore antiques and I love day-dreaming about the history of objects. The more signs of wear and use, the better!
What have you made recently?
I always work on more than one project at a time. I just finished making a play mat for a special new baby and am working on quite a few new quilts. It seems that all of my best friends are going to be having their first babies at about the same time, so I'm very busy designing and making their quilts!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell my quilts and home accessories mostly on Etsy.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
As for why I make handmade - I can't help it. I love working with my hands and I love working with color.
Why do I buy handmade? Because I love the imperfections and eccentricities that come from something made by a person.
