Mademoiselle VG Tees from Italy

in Clothing, Featured Crafters, Handmade on 06/08/10

Mademoiselle VG is a name that encompasses the entire brand philosophy: Mademoiselle because the lines and moods that characterize our creations often evoke a female figure fine and coy; she loves to wear something unique and exclusive.

Valeria & Gioia

Random Facts About You?

We - Valeria Gioia, two fashion designers comply with the laws of tried and true Italian fashion. We both decided to call our brand Mademoiselle VG because of the elegance and way of life that we admire of the French. Valeria has a boutique in Italy, where she creates hand everything sells. Joy is a fashion designer with a passion for children, and is studying to become an illustrator of children's books. Our creations are a mixture of common interests, such as French music.

What got you started crafting?

Valeria & Gioia have started to create this brand handmade because they were tired of seeing the same things in the shops. Both big fans of the craft, we decided to start building something that is affordable in price, but no less creative than other historical brands. The fashion system requires approval of laws that turn around only to big brands, so was born our collection of tees ... and for Autumn Winter 2010 - 2011 we are creating dresses and hand-painted sweatshirts.

What is your source of inspiration?

Our inspirations are from everywhere: from the music, the people on the street, magazines, music videos, movies. Whatever attracts our attention is collected in Mademoiselle VG.

What have you made recently?

Mademoiselle VG is a name that encompasses the entire brand philosophy: Mademoiselle because the lines and moods that characterize our creations often evoke a female figure fine and coy; she loves to wear something unique and exclusive.
It is a painstaking work to be accurate and avoid creating a mess around on a t-shirt. Designers aspire to be defined, but must work hard to have so much creativity.

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

We sell our tees on bigcartel on the web.
Currently we have two shops that keep our tees: Morgana Creations Macomer (NU) in Italy and another store, also in Italy, Juna in Catania. For the collection A / W we will have new stores in Italy, we hope to expand abroad as soon as possible! Our creations can be created as a unique piece for any person, and please write us with any requests.

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

The craft products take more care to create, but what characterizes them are the qualities such as originality, uniqueness and creativity. Handicrafts in Italy have lost some of their value, and because of this we wanted to start working by hand. We want to improve the confidence in handmade products and help as much as possible to begin reintegration of culture craft. Young and independent brands in Italy (such as ours) have a hard time being seen and heard because the famous brands are mostly all industrial now.
