I am inspired by colour. Colours on cans of soup, colours on flyers in my mailbox, colours on other crafty items I stumble upon. As soon as I see a colour combination that interests me, my mind runs away and plans the cards I could make with it.

1 ~ I used to be a dancer (for 15 years!) and had the opportunity to travel to Ukraine and The Netherlands for conventions and shows!
2 ~ I love washing laundry by hand in the bathtub and hanging it on a rack on my balcony to dry just so that I can feel like I did a GREAT job without needing any stupid machines.
3 ~ I am addicted to TV, but I'm not a couch potato. I'm such a multitasker that I cannot imagine creating cards or invitations without watching the latest Pretty Little Liars, Dexter, Big Brother, or Parks and Recreation (and the list goes on...). I sit at my desk and watch TV shows all day long while I do at least 3 other things at the same time, or I don't feel productive.
4 ~ I love to bake from scratch and try out new techniques I find online (although they almost never turn out half as pretty!) to give to anyone! The people who work in the office that manages my apartment, my parents coworkers, or (sometimes) random people I find on the street!
What got you started crafting?
I have always been into crafting. Literally since I was three and attended Preschool of the Arts. I used to go to the dollar store and buy a big bristol board, cut it up into pieces, and make cards using it as the base and construction paper for decoration! I used to give cards to absolutely everyone, even my dentist has a file that contains cards and gifts I've given him over the years!
What is your source of inspiration?
I am inspired by colour. Colours on cans of soup, colours on flyers in my mailbox, colours on other crafty items I stumble upon. As soon as I see a colour combination that interests me, my mind runs away and plans the cards I could make with it.
What have you made recently?
I just finished an order of wedding invitations for a young couple from St. George. They are having their wedding in August, and were looking for rustic, yet elegant invitations. I absolutely love creating custom invitations! They chose a sample invitation I had already created, and we began customizing the size, layout, colours, and specifics of the invitation. When we were finished, we were all excited to see the finished product! When I got home, I couldn't wait to get started. I cut out all of the materials and began embossing. Embossing is a process that takes quite a bit of time, but produces this amazing, raised and glossy pattern that takes your breath away. I sent the couple a photo of the finished sample and they loved it! I got started on the rest of the order right away. My arm muscles were so sore from all of the cutting, embossing, and adhering, but the finished product was amazing. The invitations suit their rustic country wedding perfectly! The couple is so excited to send them out to their friends and family, most of which are heading way out to The Netherlands!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I have a Facebook page, Twitter account, Pinterest account, and website that all generate interest in my products. Although I do not have an online store running (yet), placing an order or setting up a consultation is a quick email or Facebook message away.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I appreciate the quality that only exists in handcrafted items. No two items are ever exactly identical, and you can almost feel the time and energy that has been put into creating them. There is nothing more special than a handmade creation that was custom designed just for you, and I think that all brides and grooms deserve custom handcrafted stationery for the biggest day of their lives!
