Random Facts About You?

I have a terrible sweet tooth and I love to bake to satisfy it, especially anything chocolately!

I love horses and dogs and have a fluffy Jack Russell called Ringo.

I read A LOT, epecially fantasy and sci-fi novels.

I have green hair...



What got you started crafting?

I come from a very artistic family so I have been crafting my whole life. I was originally going to go for a career in languages, I studied Spanish and Italian at university, but I decided that it didn't suit me at all! So I packed it all in and went and studied HND jewellery and silversmithing instead and was much happier!



What is your source of inspiration?

I am inspired by nature, the elements, the four seasons, fairy tales and fantasy stories.



What have you made recently?

The last thing I made was an engagement ring for a friend. It's 18ct white gold with a marquise shaped amber stone and a couple of little diamonds. I'd never worked with gold before because I've never been able to afford it! So it was a slightly scary project, but it turned out beautifully and my friend was very happy :)

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

I like things to be unique, to have something that isn't owned by thousands of other people as well. It's nice to have something that so much thought and care and attention has gone into; and by buying handmade your feeding and artist!
