The Hogan Ladies

1. We're close sisters, opposite in every way.
2. We love creative writing. Erica has about half a million books in her head, while Denise crafts what she believes are clever mystery novels.
3. Denise wants to sojourn to Egypt. Erica pines for Scotland.
4. Is a movie in black and white? We love it.
What got you started crafting?
Our grandmother taught us to knit and crochet when we were children, but we didn't start thinking seriously about it until a couple months ago, when a friend suggested we use our talents to make some money.
What is your source of inspiration?
Our own brains. :-) ...with a little help from Youtube tutorials.
What have you made recently?
The Honeycomb Scarf (first picture) is Denise's favorite scarf. I use Tunisian crochet to make this scarf, which I learned on YouTube. I alternate two stitches to create an eye-catching pattern, which gives each scarf a wealth of beauty and texture. Since it has so many different colors, it accents almost every outfit. I wear it almost every day.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
We do sell our scarves and other accessories through Etsy.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
In our day, many products found in the marketplace have been mass-produced. You can't find the high quality materials and products that you find when a product has been created by hand.
