Random Facts About You?

I am obsessed with Post It Notes & Sharpies

I am a personal trainer and I training to run my first Marathon in May

I have visited more countries than I have states (I just went to Mexico for Christmas this year!)

I am a Senior in college getting my degree in Psychology and the proceeds from my products help me pay for college

What got you started crafting?

I grow up in a really great family that really supported the arts. My mother is extremely talented, she is a painter among many other things. So she really inspired me to dream big and create. My artistic talent has always been in the area of colors and coordination. I have always had an eye for make-up & clothing coordination and that is definitely an art. So from there I discovered the fun world of paper, at the age of 14 I learned that there was so many different patterns of paper, just like with clothes, and I instantly fell in love. Ever since then I have been playing around with paper, stickers, rub-ons, buttons, chalk, etc... I always made scrapbooks & personal cards but never for other people. This past January my husband challenged me to put some of my work on Etsy and see how it went, its all history from there! Now I have my own blog and site and I love getting to create.

What is your source of inspiration?

Colors & Patterns that I find in fashion. Magazines are huge inspirations that get my creative wheels rolling.

What have you made recently?

I recently just made some new journals that I am in love with! My favorite is probably the Pink & Green Paisleys Recycled Journal. I absolutely adore it because it is the perfect size that you can carry with you in your purse or book bag & it has a gorgeous pattern that is full of vibrant colors. Another great thing about the journal is that it is made from recycled banana plantation agricultural waste... I love when we can be cute while helping save the environment!

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I sell my creations on both my personal site & etsy

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

I love buying handmade products because I think it is so important to support all of our local artist who have such great talents and who have a heart to share with others through there work. I always try to buy handmade so that I can help support these amazing and talented artist in a world that is run by big industries. Handmade products bring a personal touch to people's worlds and they are usually such great quality. I'm so happy to be apart of a such a great community of handmade artist.
