What got you started crafting?
Being surrounded by creative minds and artists inspired us to create our own line of jewelry. The more we got into it, the more we learned and wanted to push ourselves further. We watched YouTube videos, searched up tutorials, and although we went through a big learning curve, we are proud that we have gotten this far today.
What is your source of inspiration?
Everyday, we are inspired by the beauty of natural gemstones. Their vibrant colors, textures, cut, and unique properties determine how we should design a pair of new earrings, necklace, or bracelet. Our designs are thoughtfully sketched on paper, refined, and then carefully handmade with fine craftsmanship. They are usually simple but timeless, and shows off the best qualities of our choice of gemstone.
What have you made recently?
Recently, we made a pair of swiss blue topaz facet teardrop earrings. They are made with two beautiful AA grade sky blue topaz stones that were securely wire wrapped. We used textured gold filled bead caps, and accented these gorgeous gems with sterling silver stardust beads. We remember when they said to not mix gold with silver, but today, we see how modern and contemporary this combination looks, and that's exactly what we did here.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
We have been selling our jewelry in our little boutique in Vancouver, BC since 2008. Recently, we started listing our items in our Etsy shop. In the years to come, we hope to participate in local craft shows!
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Simple, handmade is unique. Mass produced is not. We love finding handmade accessories such as jewelry, belt buckles, bags, etc., that will add a kick of personality to outfits.
