Warning, cliche is about to occur:
I find inspiration everywhere.
Seriously.
It is everywhere.
The wind, an old chair, a color, a smell, a paper towel roll (yes I just said paper towel roll)

I am a Red Belt in Tae Kwon Do.
I have two babies, a 165lb Great Dane named Mango, and a 14lb Pomeranian named Dax.
If given the opportunity, I could eat 4lbs of Alaskan King Crab Legs with Drawn Butter.
I have saltwater in my veins, and wished I lived on, or near a beach.
What got you started crafting?
Unfortunately, my crafting was the result of a very negative time in my life.
In April of 2009, my dad was diagnosed with Stage IV Cancer, and by November, the doctors had told us he only had a short time left. I immediately flew home to be with him, and my Mom. While home, my Dad slept much of the time due to his medications, and I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. With my anxiety and sadness escalating, I felt I needed something to channel my energies in a positive way. I needed a distraction, and a release. I suddenly felt the urge to begin crafting jewelry.
On January 2nd 2010, my dad passed away. It was a crushing blow to my heart, and I still deal with the pain of it every day. However, I know that he is looking down on me, watching over me, and fueling my creativity. My Dad has a little part in every piece that I make, and that makes me smile.
Out of something bad, came something good.
What is your source of inspiration?

What have you made recently?
I made some Perched Little Birdies out of a an empty paper towel roll, some yarn, some miniature fake fruit pears, paint, glue, and magazine pages.
Wrapped the yarn on the cardboard.
Painted the pears and added beaks and eyes.
Made little paper orbies out of the magazine pages.
Glued everything together.
Voila
