A Heart Handmade Blog Holiday Featurette
Hope you enjoy my critters as much as I enjoyed making them!
I love the slight imperfection that comes with handmade goods. They feel much more alive than machine-generated massproducts and I like to think that the intention of thought, attention to detail and most of all love that goes into handmade creations will also resonate with the new owner.
* green is my favourite colour
* visiting Christmas markets in Germany always brings back fond memories
* if I were to choose three foods to live on for the rest of my life, they would be: apples, brazil nuts and black olives
* I've got big feet although I'm fairly short
What got you started crafting?
My little monkey in the making! When i fell pregnant with my son I found myself in full blown nesting mode!
What is your source of inspiration?
Anything in daily life really...from rummaging through childhood memories to cute japanese writing paper I receive in the post!
What have you made recently?
One of my latest critters is Mr Archibald Fawkes a glum but gentle bunny plush, who at times wishes he was a bear!
He has been crocheted from beige acrylic yarn and is accessorized with a bear hat and scarf made from brown organic yarn. He was a lot of fun to make.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
Online in my etsy-shop
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
It's so much more personal and has a certain magic to it - I also love the imperfection of handmade goods.
