What got you started crafting?
I have always been crafty -- my sister was the "artist" in the family. I started doing fused glass by taking a class through the local community college and I was hooked immediately!
What is your source of inspiration?
I think my garden -- I love the riot of color there!
What have you made recently?
I recently completed a series of wall pocket vases which are perfect for holding summer stems! I wanted the vases themselves to be colorful and lovely, even without flowers in them, so they could be used all year long. They are made using fusible glass and fiber paper that will not burn up in the kiln to create the pocket. I have added magnets to the back of some of the small ones so they can be attached to a refrigerator or magnetic board to keep some fresh flowers nearby!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell online through Etsy as well as limited consignment and occasional local fairs and shows.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I like the uniqueness and high quality found in handmade items, and I like the idea of buying directly from the person who created it.
