Random Facts About You?

Rice is my fave carb. I have two personal assistants, my son and my daughter. I love shopping for indie and thrifty designs. Helping others is totally fulfilling for me.

What got you started crafting?

What got me started was the lack of what I wanted in the fashion department, for myself and my children. Just settling for something resembling what I wanted wasn't enough anymore. Crafting my own wares is cost-effective and, more importantly, exactly what I envision.

What is your source of inspiration?

My source(s) of inspiration isn't limited. Once it was a cube I saw, which led to my son's red and black cubed-logo sweater. Sometimes I'm inspired by leftover fabric I have. Caution lights led to my ribbon-appliqued three-quarter jacket that I proudly wear for the spring. My inspiration comes from various sources, as you could see, lol!

What have you made recently?

For the warmer climate, I wanted to create a simple piece that delivered comfort and was stylish altogether. I consider loose-fitting garments to be quite comfortable, but I wanted this piece to be girly, too. A dress came to mind. A piece to easily get into and out of would encompass everything I wanted for my spring collection. As far as the colors go, I wanted to use colors of power and strength, contrasting the soft silhouettes. Isaac Mizrahi, known for his color blocking and my all-time fave high end designer, inspired the pattern of my dress mini collection.

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I have a few avenues for selling my products. Etsy is my online shop while I get upclose and personal with my customers at the craft fair/markets. I also sell custom designs to those who haven't shopped on Etsy or haven't attended a market I've been to.

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

Handmade goods are crafted with love. You know that you're the only one with that product. It's worth every penny you pay because of its nature.
