“…LA, It’s Time to Get Crafty!”
I am pretty excited about this new crafting event starting in Los Angeles.
Brought to my attention by a reader of Heart Handmade Blog (thanks Linh!), this ongoing craft fair will be a great way for Southern California artists and crafters to get exposure. I’m not sure if I’m going to make it up for their inaugural weekend on the 14th, but expect a follow up post from me in the next few months on the show.
LA Craft Experience is LA’s newest outdoor market located in historic Chinatown’s Central Plaza and features unique vendors from all over Los Angeles. The show includes designers, crafters and artists selling unique, handmade, original and hard-to-find items. LA Craft Experience (aka “LACE”) debuts on August 14th and 28th from 5 p.m. to midnight. It will take place alongside Chinatown Summer Nights.
After August, LACE will continue on the second Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Each market includes a rotating selection of juried-in vendors, hands-on crafts demonstrations, free giveaways for event goers and selected DJs and bands to rock the crowd all day long.
Dates and Hours: August 14th & 28th from 5 p.m. to midnight | After August, the second Saturday of each month beginning on Oct. 9, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Location: All events are at Chinatown’s Central Plaza: 947 N. Broadway, Los Angeles, 90012
Cost: FREE! Admission to Chinatown Summer Nights and LA Craft Experience is always free.
Parking: Bike and car valet parking are available during Chinatown Summer Nights, and there is plenty of event and street parking available for future dates.
