What got you started crafting?
Getting into art school and not being able to cut a straight line definitely made my photography take off. Graduating with my Bachelors of Fine Art in Photography prepared me for the Artist lifestyle that I've always wanted.
What is your source of inspiration?
Loretta Lux, Julia Margret Cameron, Intense Color, Design and the Love of all things Polaroid.
What have you made recently?
My current artwork {Pola Series} has been completed since 2006 and took over a year to complete. Each piece is made to order and printed locally. Larger prints are backed with styrene board for a more polished, complete look. Each print is packaged in recycled materials that are hand stamped with my shop name.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell my art locally and through Etsy online to support the costs of my daughter's physical therapy.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
As far as photography goes, I choose to buy from local artists and those that may not be well known. I choose not to let the market place and big business dictate what art work and style I showcase in my home. My style is different than that of your main stream big box store and I'm perfectly content with that!
