What got you started crafting?
my name means artist. creating things started at birth. for as long as i can remember, i have made what most people buy.
What is your source of inspiration?
my inspiration is constantly fueled by mothering. not just the act of mothering, though. everything that comes along with being a mom - BIRTH, breastfeeding, preparing meals, creating a home, observing the innocence of my children. these things have truly inspired me and transformed my ability to be creative.
What have you made recently?
my mind gets a vision. i picture a lightweight bracelet. not so lightweight that it's delicate and overlooked, though. it needs to stand out. i wanted something soft. i wanted different textures.
to make it happen: I deconstructed some kettle dyed yarn into just the wool roving. felted and shaped small bits into beads. strung the soft, round beads on a bracelet with hard, square, shiny glass beads for contrasting texture, size and shape. instant love! it's totally unique. i've never seen anything quite like it.
