I lost my dad a few years ago. He passed away and I had a hard time letting him go. I was just starting my jewelry making back then and he was so proud of me. I have learned from this experience to live life to the fullest. Life is too short. Enjoy everyday with the ones you love and really really enjoy the ride!

What got you started crafting?
I had a love of jewelry making as early as the age of 5. My mom bought me a small box of beads and I started creating. I never knew it would end up being the craft of a lifetime for me. As a teenager I began making fried marble jewelry which was the rage in the early 60's. I worked at schools for 20 years with all kinds of children. I since retired and have found my craft to once again get me creating. It keeps me busy and makes me so hapy when someone buys one of my items and tells me how beautiful it is and how happy they are with it. I want to make people smile and be happy. I smile just designing new items. I just love the art of creating!
What is your source of inspiration?
My source of inspiration is belief in myself that I can do whatever I believe that I can do.
What have you made recently?
I recently made and sold very quickly a beaded bracelet. It had red metallic beads and a gold bead that says love. I put the love bead in the center of the bracelet with a red dangle heart along each side of it. It symbolizes two hearts connected by love. Perfect for a couple in love.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I have a website.
I also have home parties and ocassionally do craft shows.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Handmade has always been special. You know that the person making it has put a lot of time and love into each and every piece unlike machine made jewelry. I believe handmade is made better as it could take hours to make some special pieces.
