What got you started crafting?

I dont think I can name a "start" to crafting. Played around with many different mediums over the years.
I had been working with stained glass when I saw a hot glass presentation.
I was positively captivated, had to try it for myself been hooked ever since.

What is your source of inspiration?

The fire and glass itself.

Glass isnt like paint, you cant just put it on and it's always the same color every time.
It's picky, moody and has it's own mind.

For example one of my favorite colors to work with is Double purple amber, which ranges from a light yellow, pinks, light purples, or a deep dark royal purple all from the same rod. It would be like trying to paint but the color of the paint changes depending on how you hold the tube, put it on the brush, and if it was raining outside.
What color I get depends upon many factors.

This is a lot of challenge to work with glass and adds element of surprise....but honestly that is one of the things I love most about it.

What have you made recently?

Recently, with valentines coming up I've been busting out hearts, hearts and hearts :) Of ever color, shape and pattern one would want.

The form of them is very simple but the variations are endless.

Where do you sell your crafts presently?

I sell on etsy, though FB and have gone to a few shows.

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

Handmade items will always be different and unique. Two things I value a lot, and are impossible to get from something made in a factory.
