EL TRÉBOL DE 4
I was born in Plasencia, Cáceres, but I am an adoptive son of Barcelona, where I have lived from the first infancy. It was during my infancy that my creative skills were born. I have always expressed myself better with my hands, with my designs, with my paintings …
What got you started crafting?
From 18 to 38 my professional life was in the sound professional market, but when I was 38 I decided to begin my training at El Taller school in Barcelona. 2 years ago I began to work as a professional jeweller!
What is your source of inspiration?
My inspiration comes for everything all around me. I´m married and I have two sons, a very nice family - and these beautiful circumstances help me to create. I used to walk without a concrete destination, with a pencil and a small notebook, nowadays I am working on new collections and and I do hope to have them ready in one month. To create a new piece I can start working with my drawings, or to sit down in the workshop with the stones and the metals in front of me, allowing the inspiration to flow.
What have you made recently?
Half cube earrings. I was helping my son with homework (geometric figures) and the idea arose. I made a cube (Cutting, smoothing and welding) and I divided it in two, I made a special texture and oxidized it partially. The personal touch is the red coral inside, I work with gemstones in the majority of my pieces. These earrings are a showy and original work due to its special shape.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell them online and also in a few shops in Barcelone.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I believe in the just trade and I love only works done with care. I hate the uniformity that imposes us within the current society.
