It is my goal to empower women with my jewelry line. I hope to be able to inspire women to accessorize their outfits making them feel as beautiful as they truly are. I’d like to accomplish getting my line of jewelry seen by all women and show them that being beautiful is affordable.

What got you started crafting?
I started crafting as a child making clothes for my barbies since my parents could not afford them. I later learned that I have absolutely no sewing skills so I stopped designing clothing and leaned more towards jewelry design. After having children my dream of becoming a well known designer got put on hold. I started designing jewelry again last year after seeing a pair of earrings my sister had made. They were so pretty that it inspired me to make jewelry too. After that it kind of just took off. The jewelry I was making for myself sold before I could wear it twice. Now I am enjoying designing jewelry for everyone who wants it.
What is your source of inspiration?
I have found that I am inspired by a variety of things. I find inspiration in the weather, jewelry I see other people wearing, fashion magazines, and my friends and family. If I see something I like and it sticks in my mind I will design a piece of jewelry based on the thing that stood out to me.
What have you made recently?
The piece I am most proud of is the "Pittsburgh Steelers Charm Bracelet" that I custom designed for a friend as a gift to his girlfriend. I had never made a pearl cluster bracelet or a charm bracelet before so this was a new adventure. After completing the bracelet I was completely amazed at how beautiful it had turned out. Since making this bracelet I have been told by several people that I should make more and that charm bracelets should be my niche.
I have hand wire wrapped each pearl in order to give them a distinct look that I have not seen anywhere else. The football charms used were pewter to begin with and through a delicate process I was able to coat them in gold to make them match the Pittsburgh Steelers colors. Once each individual piece was completed I carefully attached them to a gold chain to create this one of a kind piece.
I give everything I make a personal touch by simply adding love. I never look at instructions or other people's work while I am designing because I want my work to be as original as possible.
The thing that stands out to me about this charm bracelet is that it has both pearl clusters and charms that are combined in a way that make it shimmer.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell my jewelry both online and locally. I have an online store on Etsy where I offer my jewelry at affordable prices. I sell locally at church, where I have been asked to make several custom pieces. I also sell at the local craft fairs and farmer's markets.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I chose handmade over other products available in the marketplace because I feel handmade provides a sense of accomplishment. Anyone can go buy a factory made piece of jewelry and look like everyone else. With handmade the product you receive will be unique and won't ever be identical to anything else. Handmade products are generally made with love and passion and have pride put into every piece, making the work done worth more to the customer than any factory made piece ever could.
