What got you started crafting?

I started crafting as a child, under the watchful eye of my grandmother. She sewed everything for her family when she was raising her children, and sewing was more of a way of life than a luxury for her. I inherited my careful attention to detail and appreciation of quality fabrics from her.

I've since fallen in love with block printing and silkscreen - both of which can be seen in my work.

Everything is 100% individual that I make - otherwise I get bored!

What is your source of inspiration?

Everything around me - but I draw from nature quite a bit. Birds, trees, and insects are often found in my works. Seasons also change the kind of fabrics I work with.

What have you made recently?

I just finished up some doe cuffs - which feature a printed deer on vintage fabric. These cuffs are reversible, featuring vintage material on at least one side and close with a vintage button. These cuffs are so comfortable to wear and so cute!

Why are handmade crafts important to you?

I buy handmade because I like to directly support artists. I appreciate the skill and time that goes into making an individual piece.
