I would love to learn how to take better quality photographs, I often struggle to obtain a picture that I am truly happy with and feel that my images don’t do my creations justice!

What got you started crafting?
I learnt to sew just over three years ago when my grandson was born and since then I have taken up patchwork quilting and appliquéing.
What is your source of inspiration?
Often my inspiration comes from my grandchildren, for example my grandson watches Nick Junior and loves the Umizoomi Bot. As the merchandise is not ready available in the UK I created a Umizoomi Bot appliqué which I put onto a sweat shirt for him. His face was a picture, he kept telling everyone who would listen that he had Umizoomi Bot on his sweat shirt.
What have you made recently?
Today I gave a moses basket a make over, I made the liner, hood and matching fitted sheet, I plan to create a pdf pattern as and when I have the time.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I started selling on Folksy at the beginning of August this year
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Handmade products have a personality, they don't conform to the norm and as such they can be personalised to an individuals taste. Unlike mass produced items handmade are unique, when someone gives one of my products as a gift for a new baby they can rest assured no one else will have given the exact same present.
Handmade items often become family heirlooms and are handed down the generations, where as mass produced items often end up discarded which is why I choose handmade over store bought items.
