Thanks Tina for taking me (even if only briefly as I prepared your feature) onto the shores of the Outer Banks, where my family has spent the last 20+ years on our annual summer vacation. I insist on a BIG vacation every other year.
My favorite place to be besides the beach, is at home...crafting!
My husband is the most wonderful supportive person in my life..and my BFF!
I have 2 little dachshund girls, and they are just like my kids!
What got you started crafting?
I found that crafting is very calming and soothing for me...hours will pass without me realizing it!
What is your source of inspiration?
My family. My husband comes up with some awesome ideas, and is excited when I use his ideas in my shop.
The beach inspires me...there's no place more relaxing than curling your toes in the sand by the ocean with a good book.
What have you made recently?
My seashell wreaths. They each take me about 3 weeks to make, and usually, I have 2 or 3 going in an assembly line all at the same time. Talk about a mess! Seashells everywhere :) But it is seriously just like working a puzzle...trying to find the perfect shaped shell to fill in a spot. But it is one of my most relaxing craft.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I used to participate in several craft shows/fairs every year until I found Etsy!
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
So much time and energy goes into a handmade item..and most of the time, those items are so well made unlike mass produced products. You can just tell by looking at it that alot of love went into creating it!
