Charmies’ studio is located in the wonderful city of New Orleans. We took up stamping jewelry after Hurricane Katrina damaged our home and community, forcing us to re-evaluate life and what is really important. We designed a website and business blossomed faster than we imagined.

* Started Charmies as a result of losing everything in Hurricane Katrina
* All the money from my website are going towards buying a house in full (daunting task, but possible), so that is pretty much what my biggest life goal is. No mortgage!
* I love to shop, mostly handmade. Love to support local companies especially.
* Love to cook.
What got you started crafting?
I love making jewelry. It started off as a hobby, but when Katrina struck, we needed o make ends meet. That's what I taught myself HTML and started a website.
What is your source of inspiration?
My customers as they are the ones that tell me what they would like designed for their special piece.
What have you made recently?
The "I love you to the moon and back" necklaces are our most popular. We are always adding new pieces with this phrase. We take a sheet of metal and cut out our own discs. Then, each letter is stamped by hand, then oxidized. It is time-consuming process but we love it!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I sell on my personal website, as well as some local boutiques.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I have always been in arts and crafts, so I figured I would try to sell my creations.
