I’m really excited about the two soon-to-be-unveiled sets I’m working on now: the first is a series of classic British icons; the second pays homage to Sherlock Holmes.

- I subsist almost entirely upon coffee and crumpets.
- Crowds, mathematics and spiders terrify me.
What got you started crafting?
Although there are many incredible papercraft artists out there, I could never find the exact gift accessory or greeting card I was after whenever a birthday or holiday rolled around – so I started making my own. Les Faux Amis is simply an extension of what I already do (or make) for friends and family – for fun.
What is your source of inspiration?
Blogs, conversations, cultural heritage, maps, old records and walks in the woods; absolutely anything can be a source of inspiration.
What have you made recently?
I’m really excited about the two soon-to-be-unveiled sets I’m working on now: the first is a series of classic British icons; the second pays homage to Sherlock Holmes.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I currently sell Les Faux Amis cards exclusively through Etsy. It’s so well-respected and wide-reaching – the perfect platform for any creative venture.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
It’s the attention to detail; the one-of-a-kind quality. You can feel/see/smell the energy and enthusiasm that goes into handmade products. And I’m always eager to support the individuals behind them, as (in my humble opinion) it takes a great deal of guts to go public with any design at this level – because it’s personal.
