What got you started crafting?
I remember seeing the look of joy on a friends face when I gave her a gift I had made myself.
What is your source of inspiration?
Small things, old things or anything that turns my head for a second look.
What have you made recently?
I recently have been working on transcribing the letters my Great Grandfather wrote to my Great Grandmother in the 1890s. The letters are so sweet and innocent and I began to think about the lost art of letter writing and how thrilling it must have been to receive a letter back then. My messaging service is an idea that sprang from thinking about the thrill of receiving a tangible message from a friend or loved one, the mystery of finding a message in a bottle and anything miniature.
Each bottle I create is combination of these 3 things. First I work on creating a theme. For example, one of the themes is a love letter in a bottle. For each bottle I create a miniature of one of my Great Grandfather's letters, seal it with real sealing wax. I also add some hearts and sand. Each bottle is customized with your message, so when you turn the bottle, you read the message and see all the treasures inside!

I sell my bottles online through my website.

Because mass produced is so boring - where is the originality?
