I would like to thank all of my customers past, present and future for making it possible for me to continue to be a Work-at-Home-Mom! Without you it wouldn’t be possible!
I have been in business since March 2007. I truly enjoy creating new specialty products for my customers ailments. I have studied under Penelope Ody & Susan Weed. I LOVE Unsweetened Almond Milk....I am an addict!
What got you started crafting?
One day I became allergic to my usual bath soap that I had used for many years. My skin had changed now that I was approaching my thirties, and my body was telling me it was time for a change. I researched how to make my own cold-processed soap and organic lotion for myself and my family. So Honey Bee Holistics was born on March 26th,2007.
I saw this as a great opportunity to turn my new found craft into a business so I could be a Work-at-home-Mom! I started researching about Organic Lotions, Lip Balms, Household cleaners....Anything I could buy from someone else I figured I could make myself! I did vow to only use Organic Herbs and Essential oils though because I wanted it to be totally Natural, no synthetics! If I were going to go to all of the trouble of making it handmade, why gunk it up with synthetic, fake, chemicals! I feel that my customers would appreciate it more that I take the time and care to make it safe for them & my family both:)
What is your source of inspiration?
My love for my herbs & my 11 month old daughter Aria! I get up early every day and start creating, wether I am tired or not, to keep my business going to provide for my family and make it possible for me to continue to stay at home and raise her!
What have you made recently?
I recently started making Organic Sunscreen. I knew that with Summer right around the corner we would be needing some. I am quite pale & burn easily, so is my daughter. I wanted to have something Organic of course to use. So my Organic Sunscreen is born!
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I started out selling at my local Farmer's Market and I have blossomed from there. I have now built my own website for ordering, as well as 2 shops. One on Etsy & One on Artfire.
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
I believe that Handmade items are the best quality as well as they hold invisible spirit. Each artist puts their spirit into what they create. With this spirit comes healing powers and love, we all need a little healing love!
