Why Handmade?

I love being in nature
What got you started crafting?
Since I can remember I have loved being artsy and taking classes for drawing, painting, sewing, or photography. But in 2008 I took a free sewing class that frustrated and inspired me to go off and learn on my own. It turned out I had a gift. I found my favorite web site Etsy and I was off. My own wedding inspired me to make custom made wedding totes for wedding favors so others could express individuality through their gifts.
What is your source of inspiration?
I love making people happy with my original handmade accessories or my nature photo shots. It is quite rewarding when you create something from your heart and share it with others. My family is very supportive and actually when I saw my photos hung in my sister's house and saw how great they looked I added some to my Etsy collection. My husband is a true inspiration, especially when I drag him to the fabric shop. Oh and when I see vibrantly colored fabrics I think, what can I make?
What have you made recently?
I recently have been working on colorful Tote Purses and Aprons. Expect to see more in the future. I also do custom work. So maybe I will be making something for you soon.
Where do you sell your crafts presently?
I opened my Etsy Shop in 2009 and currently continue to sell my crafts online!
Why are handmade crafts important to you?
Because it comes from the heart not a factory.
